Common Questions About the Well Water Dual Tank
Why do I need two tanks instead of one?
Standard softening resin can foul quickly when exposed to iron, so well water with both hardness and iron typically needs iron removed first. The dual-tank design handles iron and sediment in the first stage, then softens the cleaned-up water.
How do I know if my well needs this vs. a standalone softener?
A free water test tells us your iron, manganese, and hardness levels. If iron is minimal and hardness is the main issue, a standalone softener may be enough. If iron staining is visible on fixtures or laundry, the dual-tank system is usually the better fit.
